Tukwila Police Officer's Guild
The Tukwila Police Officer's Guild is a non-profit corporation. We represent 60 members (officers, detectives, and sergeants). We formed in 1998 after a vote from our members to create our own guild. Previous to 1998 we were represented by the Steelworkers Union. In 2008 the Tukwila Police Guild had donated over $8,000 to support athletic leagues, Breast Cancer research, fund raising activities, and we also provided assistance to families who are suffering through life threatening illnesses. In 2009 TPOG donated over $6,000 to Lakewood Police to help family members fly out to attend the Lakewood Memorial. In 2010, we awarded Foster High School senior Vansica Sun the 1st TPOG Scholarship. Tukwila is a very unique city. The listed population is roughly 18,000 residents, however, the daytime population has been estimated at 200,000 people. This increase mainly comes from Tukwila's huge retail area, Southcenter. Our officers respond to over 30,000 calls for service per year. . Tukwila shares borders with Seattle, Kent, Renton, and Seatac. The southern Intersection of I-5 and I-405 is in the city limits. Our priority is our guild members. We protect the rights and benefits of our hard working members, negotiate contracts with the city, and make ourselves available to the citizens of Tukwila. Our mailing address is: PO Box 58751 Tukwila, WA 98138 Phone : (206) 575-2630
